What is Aeration?
Aeration is the process by which air is circulated through, mixed with or dissolved in a liquid of substance.
Aeration bring water and air in close contact in order to remove dissolved gases and to oxidize dissolved metals, including iron, hydrogen sulphide and volatile organic chemicals (VOCs). This process is typically the first major process at a drinking water treatment plant and occurs in the secondary treatment processes of activated sludge treatment in waste water treatment plants.
Our Dryden air diffusers come in 1metre, 2 metre and 3 metre lengths and are ideal for use as part of an aeration plan in wastewater treatment, ensuring the supply of oxygen or air to aeration tanks and effluent water.
