Today’s OxyGuard Standard Probe is hermetically sealed. If needed you can open it to replace the membrane and renovate it completely, but this should not be needed for many years.
DescriptionThe measurement stability of the OxyGuard Standard Probe is also very high indeed. A probe measuring in air will maintain accuracy even when subjected to a sudden 20 degree celcius temperature change. The sensitivity of a probe measuring in clean air at room temperature will remain the same for at least 3 years. This proves that the OxyGuard probe is not, like some other probes, affected by “ageing”. OxyGuard believe that the OxyGuard Standard probe is more accurate, needs less attention and maintenance and has a lower total cost of ownership than any other oxygen or dissolved oxygen probe offered to the aquaculture industry today. *Accessories are shipped with every OxyGuard probe. You will thus be able to change the membrane if you manage to damage it during installation. Otherwise the accessories can be enough for up to 5 years’ use.
These OxyGuard probes consist of an electrode and an impedance converter inside a twopart housing held together by a threaded collar. There is extra sealing so that the connections at the top of the electrode remain dry even when the probe is completely submersed. The impedance converter immediately over the electrode eliminates electrical noise problems and permits the use of ordinary cable to connect the probe. Either lightduty or heavy duty OxyGuard pH or redox electrodes with flange fittings can be used.
As standard probes are manufactured from PVC (for temperatures up to 60°C), but on request they can be supplied in other materials, e.g. PP for up to 10 bar at 25 °C, 4 bar at 90 °C, or PVDF for up to 6 bar up to 100°C, 2 bar at 120°C.
There are three basic designs, one for free mounting, one with a 3/4″ tee for flow-through use, the third designed to be screwed into a pipe, flange or other suitable fixture. The probes can be ordered with a 1″ thread at the top of the top part for mounting purposes. OxyGuard also manufacture probes to customer specification, so please ask if you cannot use a standard design. As standard the probes have 7m cables.
For Heavy Duty use in very dirty environments probes can be supplied with a probe cleaning system. This has, for example, proved effective when measuring agricultural slurry – add “C” to ordering number. Several types of mounting device are also available. These are described in separate brochures.
K01 OxyGuard Static pH / Redox Probe
The OxyGuard Polaris C CO2 Portable is a reliable and easy to use instrument that measures the free dissolved carbon dioxide concentration directly in the water. The CO2 concentration is shown on the display, and there is an analogue output.
The OxyGuard Polaris C CO2 measures the free dissolved CO2 directly and is not affected by carbonates or other dissolved substances. It is the free dissolved CO2 – in other words the CO2 gas partial pressure – that affects the fish. The OxyGuard Polaris C CO2 thus gives simple, continuous and direct measurements of the amount of carbon dioxide in the water that will affect the fish.
The analyser is easy to calibrate using the front panel “slope” and “zero” adjustments – after which you just put the probe in the water and measure. There is a salinity adjustment. Calibration intervals are long, and the OxyGuard CO2 does NOT need regular maintenance.

The Polaris C DO meter is a high-performance, low-cost and almost maintenance-free meter for measuring dissolved oxygen and temperature. The meter is sturdy, easy to use and has an extensive longevity making it ideal for harsh conditions.
Polaris C DO can store up to 2500 complete data sets, including time and date stamps. The logged data is stored in the meter or can be transferred to Cobália using Bluetooth.Scan the Cobália NFC tag of the tank and all data will be uploaded to your “digital farm”. Tank specific data assigned to the tags will be stored in Cobália for analyses on temporal variations, multivariable analyses on performance and for the generation of graphs.

The OxyGuard Polaris C MaxiTemp is a small electronic thermometer specially designed to meet the demands of fish farmers and other professional people for a rugged, reliable and accurate thermometer with data logging function. It has a measuring range of -5 to +45°C with an accuracy of +/- 0.1°, and will measure up to +60°C with an accuracy of +/- 0.2°C. The probe is manufactured in plastic and sea-water resistant stainless steel, and is connected to the display with a 1.5 m cable. Both probe and display are sealed and waterproof.
Values can be stored either automatically at preset time intervals, or manually. You can group values according to the place of measurement. Stored values can be transferred to a PC using the Polaris Link, which connects to the PC via a USB cable.
The Polaris C pH is a hand-held, pocket-size pH hand-held meter designed for use in demanding, wet environments. The meter itself and the electrode assembly are waterproof. This instrument does not suffer from the classical problems associated with pH meters – the Polaris C pH is sealed so that water cannot enter the top of the electrode or the electronics. You can drop it into the water without damaging it. In the Polaris C pH these advantages are combined with microprocessor technology to provide an instrument that is exceptionally easy to use.

The OxyGuard Salinity Probe is specially designed for aquaculture use. Factory calibration and automatic temperature compensation make it very easy to use. It is found in two versions. One is a 3-wire 4-20 mA sensor – connect it to 24 VDC and the output varies between 4 and 20 mA according to the salinity. The other has data bus connection for use with OxyGuard Pacific.
The probe is designed to be as trouble-free as possible, with features specially suited for aquacultural use. Inductive technology is used so that you don’t have to worry about deposits on the surface of the probe – all you have to do is ensure that the hole in the probe is open and relatively clean.
The probe measures salinity according to the internationally agreed PSS-78 scale (Practical Salinity Scale 78).
