Description
The AISTRO-2 is an In-line water softening cartridge with clear housing. Exchanges calcium and magnesium with sodium ions and therefore reduces water hardness. Available with 1/4″ NPT connection.
The AISTRO-2 utilizes FDA-grade sodium based strongly acidic ion-exchange resin which reduces calcium and magnesium ions content in water. Calcium and magnesium are often called “hardness minerals”. Large amount of these ions in water are responsible for a formation of the scale deposits, higher detergent consumption and stains on a glassware. In extreme situations large amount of calcium and magnesium can lead to glass etching.
Hard water leaves an invisible film on a skin, which blocks pores. This in turns causes chapping, itching and dryness. Softened water contains almost no calcium & magnesium. It enables people to use lesser quantities of soap, shampoo, and skin care products. Moreover detergent consumption is reduced.

Keep in mind when water is extremely hard, filter will be exhausted very quickly, therefore a conventional water softener should be used.
