This 25W UV unit with full WRAS approval is ideal for 1-3 bedroom homes with no more than 1 bathroom. They're also great for other light applications where the water quality is relatively good, but there is a bacteriological issue.
As a quick summary, the difference between the systems are as follow:
Altima – Basic system. Essentially comes with an LED to show it’s turned on.
Proxima – Upgraded system. Comes with display, alarms and countdown timer.
Maxima – Fully loaded. Comes with extra UV sensor and temperature sensor functionality.
The thing to remember in all this is that the system will function exactly the same way regardless of the system you have. The controller will turn the UV lamp on and monitor it. The functionality of the Proxima and Maxima systems are for ease of use and monitoring purposes. If in doubt, go for the Proxima system, they’re the most popular.
As you can see from the table, they will treat up to 1m³/hour and are fine to be left turned on for long periods (overnight for example).
This system comes with everything you need to fit and run the system for the whole first year and is WRAS approved. The next thing you'll need to buy for the system is the lamp replacement that it'll need after the first year of operation.

Huge selection of electrodes for any appplication - the HQ range is compatible with the intellical probe range which features both laboratory and rugged field electrodes in a wide variety of parameters. Intellical electrodes are smart and are automatically recognised by HQ meters, retain calibration history and method settings to minimise errors and setup time. They incorporate proven technology to deliver superior accuracy and response times – even when measuring challenging samples or challenging operating environments.
The portable Hach HQ range of electrochemistry meters replaces the old Sension+ and HQD range of meters.
Luminescence-based LDO technology - no replacement of electrolyte, no interference by deposits or H2S
Intellical LDO101 is a digital, luminescent/optical dissolved oxygen (LDO) probe. This Rugged DO sensor version is built with a stainless steel body ensuring sufficient weight to the probe for an easy outside handling, the sensing part is protected by a shroud, and the connection is ensured by strong and visible yellow coloured cable onto which you can clip depth markers (optional accessories), making the LDO101 rugged models specially designed for field use. LDO101 Rugged is available with a 5, 10, 15, or 30 meters cable. The LDO101 is fitted with an automatic pressure sensor module and a temperature sensor. LDO101 probes are fully calibrated at the factory. New LDO101 probes no longer require iButtons. The days in use tracking feature and the remaining sensor cap life reminder are initialized on the day of first use. The LDO101 Rugged is ideal for measuring dissolved oxygen in all type of external environment such as river, surface and ground waters, ponds, lakes, sea, wastewater plant, source water, drinking water reservoir for water quality, environmental and treatment process purposes.
Hach Intellical LDO is a revolutionary breakthrough in the measurement of dissolved oxygen, eliminating the numerous reliability and maintenance concerns inherent of older DO measurement technologies.
Intellical Rugged digital probes can reliably test in the harshest environmental conditions
Intellical digital probes provide ultimate traceability in measurement history
Intellical digital probes alert the user when re-calibration is needed
Intellical digital probes can be moved between meters without the need to re-calibrate or re-enter measurement settings

The OxyGuard Salinity Probe is specially designed for aquaculture use. Factory calibration and automatic temperature compensation make it very easy to use. It is found in two versions. One is a 3-wire 4-20 mA sensor – connect it to 24 VDC and the output varies between 4 and 20 mA according to the salinity. The other has data bus connection for use with OxyGuard Pacific.
The probe is designed to be as trouble-free as possible, with features specially suited for aquacultural use. Inductive technology is used so that you don’t have to worry about deposits on the surface of the probe – all you have to do is ensure that the hole in the probe is open and relatively clean.
The probe measures salinity according to the internationally agreed PSS-78 scale (Practical Salinity Scale 78).
The OxyGuard Standard Probe – the probe that revolutionised oxygen monitoring.
The probe that you can purchase today is even better than the probe introduced in 1987 that helped revolutionize fish farming and make modern aquaculture the industry it is today.Today’s OxyGuard Standard Probe is hermetically sealed. If needed you can open it to replace the membrane and renovate it completely, but this should not be needed for many years.
The measurement stability of the OxyGuard Standard Probe is also very high indeed. A probe measuring in air will maintain accuracy even when subjected to a sudden 20 degree celcius temperature change. The sensitivity of a probe measuring in clean air at room temperature will remain the same for at least 3 years. This proves that the OxyGuard probe is not, like some other probes, affected by “ageing”.
OxyGuard believe that the OxyGuard Standard probe is more accurate, needs less attention and maintenance and has a lower total cost of ownership than any other oxygen or dissolved oxygen probe offered to the aquaculture industry today.
*Accessories are shipped with every OxyGuard probe. You will thus be able to change the membrane if you manage to damage it during installation. Otherwise the accessories can be enough for up to 5 years’ use.
