FloPlus Fibredyne™ Carbon, 0.5 Micron
-
Pentair Pentair FloPlus Carbon 10" Filter 0.5 micron
Carbon cartridges made with Fibredyne™ technology are far more advanced than traditional carbon block cartridges. Benefits of higher flow rates, lower pressure drops, higher treatment capacity and less susceptibility to premature blocking from sediment make them the leading carbon cartridges on the market. The fibres (coated in powdered activated carbon) have a very large surface area to offer increased capacity, more flow paths to allow for increased flow and reduced pressure drop and also create areas where sediment can be trapped. The construction methods used to manufacture Fibredyne™ cartridges allow for a variety of constituents to be incorporated that solve specific application problems. Lead and other heavy metals removal can be targeted, Cryptosporidium and Giardia cysts removed and developments that produce no fines or Sulphur release is a particular benefit in electroplating applications. Fibredyne™ technology also enables the use of moulded Santoprene gaskets, meaning no glues are used and the risk of end-caps being left in the housing during cartridge change is vastly reduced..Features & Benefits Reduces particles as small as 0.5 micron in size by mechanical means NSF/ANSI Standard 53 certified to reduce cysts such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia by mechanical means Premium dirt-holding capacity Outstanding chlorine taste & odour reduction True depth filtration High flow rates and low pressure drop similar to a nominal 10-micron cartridge Maximum life - dirt-holding ability of a 10-micron carbon block with the particulate efficiency of a 0.5-micron cartridge Specifications Filter Media – Bonded PAC Endcaps – Polypropylene Netting – Polyethylene Gaskets – Santoprene Temperature Rating – 40-180°F (4.4-82.2°C)
