Pentek EP Series Carbon Block Cartridges are manufactured using a process that yields a cartridge with a nominal 5-micron filtration rating and high dirt-holding capacity. A high porosity design helps prevent the cartridge from plugging before its adsorption capacity is exhausted, maximizing the utilization of the carbon while maintaining low pressure drop. These cartridges are protected by a uniquely formulated polyolefin bilaminate pre-filter, designed to significantly increase the useful life of the cartridge by trapping sediment that typically plugs carbon block cartridges.EP Series Cartridges make an ideal choice for a wide range of residential, food service, commercial and industrial applications.Features & Benefits
High dirt-holding capacity maximizes utilization of the carbon block
Highly effective bad taste & odour and chlorine taste & odour reduction
Nominal 5-micron rating

Pentair GAC Series Cartridges effectively reduce unwanted tastes and odours, including chlorine taste & odour from your drinking water.* They are designed to allow maximum contact between the water and carbon, ensuring optimal adsorption. The construction of the cartridge allows water to enter at one end and pass through the entire length of the carbon bed before exiting the other end of the cartridge, while an internal expansion pad minimizes channelling or bypass. Before the water exits the cartridge, a post-filter helps reduce carbon fines and other suspended particles from the filtered water. The post-filter is permanently fastened to an innovative support basket ensuring that it is firmly secured and eliminating any potential for bypass.GAC Series Cartridges are available in a variety of sizes and flow rates, and effectively provide good general-purpose drinking water filtration.Features and Benefits
Effective reduction of bad taste & odour and chlorine & odour reduction
Designed for optimal adsorption
Post-filter to reduce carbon fines
Available in a variety of sizes and flow rates
The CBR2 has a multi-media design for heavy metal reduction, in particular lead, through 7,500 litres.Designed to reduce chlorine, taste and odour, dissolved and particulate lead, cysts, MTBE and certain VOCs, the CBR2-10 is manufactured from a combination of powdered activated carbon and a specially designed adsorbent media for lead and mercury reduction. These cartridges are protected by a uniquely formulated polypropylene bilaminate prefilter, designed to significantly increase the useful life of the cartridge.Being a 0.5 micron nominally rated cartridge, pre-filtration is recommended to extend the life of the filter by avoiding premature plugging of the block.Key Product Features
Nominal 0.5 micron rating
Lead reduction through 7,500 litres
Pentair Quick Change are designed for easy installation and filter change.
The cartridge filter is easily changed with a quarter-turn of the filter. Water is automatically shut off during the change of the filter through the auto shut-off feature built into the filter head. This feature eliminates the need for additional shut-off valves to and from the filter system.
Easy to install, easy filter change
Filter life 500 gallons (1890 L)
Flow rate 0.50 gpm (1.9 L/min)
0.5 Micron rating

Carbon cartridges made with Fibredyne™ technology are far more advanced than traditional carbon block cartridges. Benefits of higher flow rates, lower pressure drops, higher treatment capacity and less susceptibility to premature blocking from sediment make them the leading carbon cartridges on the market. The fibres (coated in powdered activated carbon) have a very large surface area to offer increased capacity, more flow paths to allow for increased flow and reduced pressure drop and also create areas where sediment can be trapped. The construction methods used to manufacture Fibredyne™ cartridges allow for a variety of constituents to be incorporated that solve specific application problems. Lead and other heavy metals removal can be targeted, Cryptosporidium and Giardia cysts removed and developments that produce no fines or Sulphur release is a particular benefit in electroplating applications. Fibredyne™ technology also enables the use of moulded Santoprene gaskets, meaning no glues are used and the risk of end-caps being left in the housing during cartridge change is vastly reduced.Key Product Features
0.5 micron nominal that flows like a 10 micron
99.95% reduction of Cryptosporidium and Giardia cysts
NSF/ANSI certified range of filters
Lasts up to 6 times longer than traditional cyst filters
Premium dirt-holding capacity
High chlorine taste & odour and bad taste & odour reduction
