The OxyGuard Standard Probe – the probe that revolutionised oxygen monitoring.
The probe that you can purchase today is even better than the probe introduced in 1987 that helped revolutionize fish farming and make modern aquaculture the industry it is today.Today’s OxyGuard Standard Probe is hermetically sealed. If needed you can open it to replace the membrane and renovate it completely, but this should not be needed for many years.
The measurement stability of the OxyGuard Standard Probe is also very high indeed. A probe measuring in air will maintain accuracy even when subjected to a sudden 20 degree celcius temperature change. The sensitivity of a probe measuring in clean air at room temperature will remain the same for at least 3 years. This proves that the OxyGuard probe is not, like some other probes, affected by “ageing”.
OxyGuard believe that the OxyGuard Standard probe is more accurate, needs less attention and maintenance and has a lower total cost of ownership than any other oxygen or dissolved oxygen probe offered to the aquaculture industry today.
*Accessories are shipped with every OxyGuard probe. You will thus be able to change the membrane if you manage to damage it during installation. Otherwise the accessories can be enough for up to 5 years’ use.
The OxyGuard Atlantic is an accurate, reliable and easy to use oxygen meter with features ideal for use in aquaculture facilities such as shrimp farms, carp farms and other installations with individual, large ponds.
It measures both dissolved oxygen and temperature, and has 4 relay outputs. The dissolved oxygen measurement is compensated for atmospheric pressure, which permits accurate control of aerators. The user can link setpoints to parameters as desired. Setpoints can then be linked to output relays. It is also possible to link setpoints together. This permits, for example, an aerator to be started both from a DO setpoint and a temperature set point.

The Model 420 is a membrane covered galvanic oxygen probe with built-in two-wire 4-20 mA transmitter. The probe is connected to a DC supply and draws a current of between 4 and 20 mA corresponding to the oxygen concentration. There are only two wires to connect, and there is no limit to cable length. The output signal is galvanically isolated from the built-in electronics and the process fluid. Interference between the Model 420 and other equipment can never occur!
Key BenefitsExtremely High Stability -zero adjustment is never needed, calibration seldomNo regular maintenance needs. The robust membrane is easily cleaned, but if damaged can be easily replacedCorrect measurements with flow as low as 1cm/sBased on a chemical principle superior to that of traditional DO probesGalvanic type - True ZeroBuilt0in temperature compensationNo practical limit to cable lengthWide range of armatures and fixtures - e.g. the AirAlam for worker safety in areas where fluctuating oxygen levels could occur in the air

These OxyGuard probes consist of an electrode and an impedance converter inside a two part housing held together by a threaded collar. There is extra sealing so that the connections at the top of the electrode remain dry even when the probe is completely submersed. The impedance converter immediately over the electrode eliminates electrical noise problems and permits the use of ordinary cable to connect the probe. Either light duty or heavy duty OxyGuard pH or redox electrodes with flange fittings can be used.
There are three basic designs, one for free mounting, one with a 3/4″ tee for flow-through use, the third designed to be screwed into a pipe, flange or other suitable fixture. The probes can be ordered with a 1″ thread at the top of the top part for mounting purposes. OxyGuard also manufacture probes to customer specification, so please ask if you cannot use a standard design. As standard the probes have 7m cables.

The OxyGuard TGP probe measures Total dissolved Gas Pressure and is designed specifically for use with OxyGuard Commander or Pacific systems. It can be added to existing systems. It contains sensors for dissolved gas pressure and temperature. The gases dissolved in water consist of oxygen and “other gases”. “Other gases” are mainly nitrogen. It is important to measure if the water is supersaturated in order to prevent the fish from getting gas bubble disease.
The Commander or Pacific system to which the probe is connected uses a dissolved oxygen measurement made by a DO probe placed near the TGP probe for calculations and presents the degrees of saturation for the total gas, dissolved oxygen and for other gasses.

The OxyGuard portable CO2 meter is a reliable and easy-to-use instrument that measures dissolved carbon dioxide in water.
The OxyGuard portable CO2 meter is a reliable and easy-to-use instrument that measures dissolved carbon dioxide in water. The meter consists of a probe and a battery-powered transmitter. The latter has a display showing the CO2 concentration and an analog signal as output. The transmitter has an on/off switch, "slope" and "zero" adjustments. Battery charger (230V), calibration accessories and 3-m cable are included. A version with built-in data logger is available.
Description
Measures the CO2 gas pressure directly and is not affected by carbonates or other dissolved substances. It is therefore possible to achieve simple, continuous direct measurements of carbon dioxide in water that affects fish.
Methods such as test kits, laboratory analysis and the detection of pH changes are subject to disturbance from the dissolved substances found in aquaculture water. The OxyGuard CO2 measures only the CO2 that affects the fish, which is the free dissolved CO2 gas. It is reliable and accurate. Calibration accessories pack includes beaker with stirrer and magnet; 75 g of pH conditioner with dosing spoon; 100 mL of calibration solution with dosing syringe; and adjustment screwdriver.

OxyGuard's developed ozone sensor is designed specifically for use in aquaculture. The sensor uses an entirely new innovative technology, and the partial pressure of ozone is measured directly without the use of electrolyte, reagents, light, or other traditional methods. As a result, there is almost no maintenance, the probe is exceptionally stable, and the response time is extremely fast. With the possibility to measure ozone content in the water down to only a few μg/L, it is possible to ensure safe conditions for the stock.
