Wedeco Aquada UV Systems

Protect yourself and your family from harmful micro-organisms found in drinking water with the Aquada UV steriliser systems.

Although local water supplies are treated by chlorine, micro-organisms can still survive in the water delivered to our home for use in bathing, washing and drinking. The Aquada uses ultraviolet light to instantly and effectively render dangerous organisms harmless, and because no chemicals are involved, you don't have to worry about drinking harmful chemicals or there by products.

You are required to change the UV Bulb annually to maintain the effective UV level. We supply the full range of lamps and spares for all Aquada models.

  • Wedeco Aquada 7 Maxima UV Sterliser System UV System Wedeco

Wedeco Wedeco Aquada 7 Altima UV Sterliser System

This 85W UV unit with full WRAS approval is ideal for light commercial and some bespoke industrial applications. They're great for multi-residency water treatment plants, building services and smaller process water applications where the water quality is already pretty good, but there's either an existing bacteriological issue, or there's a high risk that needs safeguarding against. As a quick summary, the difference between the systems are as follow: Altima – Basic system. Essentially comes with an LED to show it’s turned on. Proxima – Upgraded system. Comes with display, alarms and countdown timer. Maxima – Fully loaded. Comes with extra UV sensor and temperature sensor functionality. The thing to remember in all this is that the system will function exactly the same way regardless of the system you have. The controller will turn the UV lamp on and monitor it. The functionality of the Proxima and Maxima systems are for ease of use and monitoring purposes. If in doubt, go for the Proxima system, they’re the most popular. As you can see from the table, they will treat up to 150l/min or 9.0m³/hour and are fine to be left turned on for long periods (during periods of shutdown for example) but care will be needed when flow resumes, the heated water in the reactor will be quite hot.  This system comes with everything you need to fit and run it for the whole first year and is WRAS approved. The next thing you'll need to buy for the system is the lamp replacement that it'll need after the first year of operation.
