Description
Numerous aerator comparison tests show that paddle wheel aerators have the highest oxygen transfer per kWh. The easy-to-understand reason for this is that paddle wheel aerators create a directed flow and distribute the enriched water in the body of water. The renewed aeration of pond water that has just been aerated, as is unavoidable with some other types of aerators, is excluded. PWA paddle wheel aerators are in use in thousands of fish farms and shrimp farms around the world. In Europe, these devices are mostly used in fish farms and larger bodies of water (lakes, ponds).Advantages:
- effective oxygen enrichment (O2)
- degassing (CO2) with high fish stock
- flow generation and distribution of the enriched water in the body of water
- uncloggable
- excellent price/performance ratio
- maintenance and repair (if necessary) on site
- very long service life (10 years of continuous operation and longer have been reported)
Due to the intensive flow generation, these devices are only conditional suitable for small or medium-sized ponds. Even for the smallest devices with 0.49 kW (P2), the body of water should not be smaller than 500 m². If the water is too small or too shallow, there is a risk of embankments being flushed out and sludge being stirred up. The devices are only conditionally suitable for winter use.
It is delivered as a kit with assembly instructions. Please note that devices with three-phase motors must be commissioned by a specialist. It is strongly recommended to only operate the device in connection
with an appropriate motor protection. Please note that operating the device without a motor protection switch will void the motor warranty.
